#lksawaydays 5b/2020/ After a stroll around the charming town of Ludlow our plan was to stretch our legs on one of the Symonds Yat Rock Trails. The drive back south took us about an hour and by now the weather had deteriorated but not enough to put us off. After a final sharp right turn we arrived at the large car park set in the woods, the viewpoint and trails are free but there is car park charge, we paid ยฃ4.80 for a 5 hour stay. As first time visitors to Symonds Yat we decided to head to the viewpoint first and then tackle one of the trails. Symonds Yat sits inside the Wye Valley in Herefordshire just a stones throw from the Gloucestershire border. Once you reach the viewpoint you will see a truly visual spectacle as the River Wye winds itself through the gorge. Itโ€™s definitely worth revisiting on a spring sunny day. Next up was to tackle one of the trails, we opted out of the 17km ramble as today was not that day but worthy of our time later in the year, we settled on the 2.8 mile trial.
