“El lugar no ofrece una experiencia agradable. 1.

“Ok for 1 night on way to Caribbean side.”

“The entire El Lugar team were incredible individuals to spend a week with. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the restaurant serves amazing dishes, the houses are romantic and I have to mention the team again. Every one of the employees here are genuinely friendly and eager to assist with any need you have.”

“The place where it is located is cool because you feel in the jungle but the maintenance of the rooms is poor, there a clean enough but they are humid and need a bit of redoing, specially for what I was charged money wise. Good enough breakfast.”

“The staff was FANTASTIC! Special shoutout to Pedro, Gerson and especially the amazing kitchen staff”

“Personal muy amable. Rico desayuno. ”

“Breakfast was pretty lame. Netflix didn't work. Jacuzzi took an hour to fill up amd luke warm. Room had musty smell. The staff was very nice, but the place itself is very basic. Also no coffee maker or tea. it's pretty I'm not home as I'm a big”

“great birding and excellent food”

“Property is surrounded by gardens who look pretty much as forest, you can walk by trails, or you can have access to real forest outside, but at the same time great location, 600 m from main road, little town and 8 minute driving to main Town Puerto Viejo. I have to start with EV Charger, great thing for the area. Rooms are little updated but clean, and fair size, they have couches and a balcony that really upgrade the room, cold AC, Tv, good internet, you will rest in that bed. Restaurant...

“The rooms were wonderful with our own fireplace . The grounds were amazing and the food was great. The staff was terrific.”

“We spent a wonderful five nights here in a family room and it was a truly immersive rainforest experience we will never forget. You are deep in the forest and an abundance of wildlife is all around-including some in your room or on your terrace so you need to be comfortable with that. We saw many toucans, hummingbirds, howler monkeys, an anteater, possums, and many jungle insects right from our room and immediately outside it, The howler monkeys wake you at 5am every day with deafening calls...
