“We had a brief overnight stay at The Rocky Cove B&B for our time in Ilfracombe, North Devon. Being an older property, the amenities were adequate for our short stay. We were lucky enough to find parking at the front of the property but like all places in the UK, if this was not available, would have been challenging. Our host was very accommodating but be sure to note that even though the property is a B&B, breakfast may not automatically be included in your rate which the host pointed out...

“Deluxe Double Room, 1 King Bed: We stayed two nights, one in a nice room over top of the pool hall in the back, and another over top of the bar/restaurant facing the waterfront. Being off season, both rooms were quiet enough after bedtime, and we slept well. Internet was good. Breakfast was okay, good enough, but not up to the standards of a modern hotel buffet. Parking was easy, and everything in the town was only a very short walk away.”

Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. The Kentisbury Grange has beautiful setting the room was immaculate and had such lovely finishing touches from the towel to the decorative flower on the toilet roll. We only stayed for one night with breakfast included. The breakfast was delicious and service was great.”
