It once marked the boarder between Savoy and the rest of Italy, so that gives an idea of how old the original structure is My room was comfortable and had a balcony affording a lovely view of time-honoured stone-tiled roofs and the mountains beyond . The restaurant's menu was small but the food was excellent, and the house wine a very good accompaniment to the jugged stag. Breakfast was excellent and kept me going during my drive through the tunnel and across France to Laon, north of Riems. A perfect example of professional but friendly hospitality. Highly recommended"
