A very old traditional English pub, very busy with local villagers, warm and welcoming, children, parents, dogs. Local ales on tap. Food was of traditional fare, lovely breakfast, service was excellent. Actual room, comfortable enough though needs updating.
We arrived late but David the owner was lovely and very welcoming. We were showed to our room and it was perfect for what we needed. The breakfast was really tasty
The inn was a good mix of history, local flavor, and convenience. Friendly staff and host, food was very good and made to feel welcome. The only downside is there is no lift.
Nice young lady showed us to our room which was nice. Only thing needed was a chair ( there was a stool. All areas clean. Good shower . Asked if we wanted to book a table for dinner, yes, done. Lovely little dining room. Food was good. Big telly ( eyesight not good so beneficial for me) , plug sockets both sides of the bed. Good hospitality tray. Comfy bed. Bar was open until late but our room was quiet. Nice atmosphere in bar. Good welcome for breakfast, efficient and friendly service. Times for breakfast & checkout were good. Didn't pay anything until we checked out. No pressure, relaxed. Wed definitely go there again.
We were walking the Shropshire Way and the White Horse was a nice place to fall into at the end of a long day's walk. The food was wholesome and the bedroom was quiet and comfortable. The bar area was popular with locals celebrating a football match win and this lasted until around 10:00 pm when it all subsided into a gentle placidity.
The breakfast in particular was delicious.

Warm, friendly pub. The food for our evening meal was a little underwhelming.
The rooms were fine, if on the small side.
Another amazing stay at the White Horse .... it's like coming home such is the welcome by Jack, Hannah and the staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable food is wonderful and Clun is just delightful.
Fin gammal pub i en trevlig liten by i fantastisk vacker omgivning.
Stort trevligt rum och hundar välkomna.
Maten väldigt tråkig, inte ens normal pubstandard.
Just spent a very relaxing night at The White Horse Inn, Clun.
All of the staff were very friendly, the room was fresh, comfortable and had all that was needed. The pub food was good and the real ale selection was great!
I’ve booked to stay again next week with my wife. I’d definitely recommend The White Horse Inn
Really nice pub with rooms. Typical Shropshire architecture - no right angles in evidence anywhere!
Friendly staff - amazing food (chocolate orange cheesecake - nom nom nom) - Nice room (Blue). Very comfy bed - slept like a log.
Relaxed atmosphere, good room, tea and coffee with fresh milk. Felt relaxed here. Staff friendly. Ate in pub in evening and food good. Location in small village with Spar shop nearby and walking distance to Clun Castle.
Friendly homely pub. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beware if booking via a price comparison site that your rate may be for room only and not include breakfast. Slightly unusual approach to room tidying - they ask you if you want it doing rather than doing it by default. I suppose it works, but it feels a bit weird to start with.
Excellent food, huge room, plenty of hot water, helpful staff and Saturday evening entertainment made for a superb stay whilst attending a weekend coaching course in Clun. Would definitely book here again if I was returning to the area.
I arrived very late & the staff were fantastic.
The room was perfect with lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits.
Very comfy bed, lots of towels, even a face cloth, all sparkling white & soft.
