Great location close to hiking and the town of Crested Butte. The unit was clean, quiet and modern. The outdoor pool and hot tub were great for relaxing after a long day.
The location is wonderful and the room was very clean. check in was easy and the staff stayed in contact to make sure we didn't need anything. I definitely recommend this lodge.
This isn't a luxury resort, but that's also not what we booked. For the price, it was a great stay. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had a very well-equipped kitchen. Communication was excellent, and the check-in process was easy and hassle-free.
There was a property fee that initially felt a little high given the limited amenities available during our stay, and one of the elevators was out of service. That said, the place delivered exactly what it promised: a clean, comfortable, convenient base for enjoying Crested Butte.
Overall, the value, cleanliness, and communication earned a 5-star review from me, and I would stay here again.
Check in was a snap. Hot tub was nice and hot. Exercise room was great and clean.

I liked the price and the room. It was perfect for two adults on a mountain biking vacation. The location was perfect for riding trail 401.
I did not like that we were not allowed to keep our bikes inside the room. Bike storage was not convenient.
Otherwise, the instructions were accurate and check in and check out was simple.
Room and property were clean. There aren't really staff to call with needs, but there are staff on site during office hours. We love the hot tub, plus slope side and public transit convenience at the Grand. Room included coffee but not creamer/sugar or other coffee amenities which was tough to plan for.

This building is one of the old hotels in Mt. Crested Butte. The rooms and suites have been sold to individual buyers, who either kept the original furnishings or moved in their own. Our room did not look one bit like the rooms in the pictures. It included two throw rugs over a chocolate brown carpet. The owners also had a Murphy bed that was not pulled down. Two old chairs were put in front of the Murphy bed. The king bed was comfortable. The kitchenette was adequately stocked with dishes and glasses, etc. We thought the room was way over-priced. The building was advertised as “no resort fees,” but there was a “property fee” of $150. What’s the difference? We will not stay here again.
Pictures and descriptions where accurate, no bikes are allowed to be stored in the unit , they have a bike storage place that you can use to safely store the bike between 8am- 5pm.
This was a great place to stay in Mount Crested Butte. The place itself was tidy and clean. It has a nice couch and TV area as well as a little kitchen area. The bed is also nice and comfortable. The host was very communicative and when there was one issue that popped up it got sorted out quickly and efficiently with good communication. I like that this place was not far from down town and was a nice place with easy access to trails and the downtown. We had a great stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Lodge Traverse condo. The pet-friendly setup and free shuttle into town were huge perks.
The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including pots and pans, dishes, a toaster, microwave, dishwasher, and even two coffee makers. Some of those weren’t listed, so that was a nice surprise. The hot tub and pool area were also a great bonus after a day of hiking, and we appreciated the filtered water bottle filling stations throughout the lodge.
The fridge was a little small, but not a big deal for our stay. It was perfect for the two of us and our dog, though I think it could feel a bit tight with four adults.
One suggestion for the host would be to add some of these amenities to the listing description so future guests know what’s available. We’d definitely stay here again.
The unit is old and dated. The bed was hard and sheets were scratchy. There weren’t enough covers on the bed either. I liked this unit having a dog. Easy to get in and out.

We love the pool/spa area for after a long day of skiing/snowboarding.
The cleanliness could be improved. The first one of us who took a shower found several long hairs still in the shower. Also, for a 4x person room would’ve appreciated regular sized silverware and not baby/kid forks.
