The staff was so friendly, the location was unbeatable, and the foods at the restaurants were amazing. The noise from the construction outside and from the restaurants above and below were a bit loud at times, but otherwise it was the perfect stay.
We stayed in the Presidential Suite, and it was amazing!! The suit was as good as it gets, the hotel itself was gorgeous, terrific service, wonderful restaurant, and PERFECT location.
What a fantastic hotel! I had an amazing stay and truly enjoyed every moment. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options.
The best part was the staff. Every employee was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful experience, and their excellent service made my stay even more enjoyable.
The only small issue was that the hallway lights shined into the room at night, making it a little difficult to sleep. Even though there were curtains, they didn’t completely block the light. I hope this can be improved because everything else was absolutely perfect.
I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!
Amazing place to stay. The staff is really accommodating and friendly. They will try to go out of their way to help you. Stayed in the Jr. Suite, which was spacious and cleaned daily by the staff. There’s two restaurants on site, which offer great food. The included breakfast has many options
Great staff, super clean and in the heart of the historical city. Can’t emphasize how well maintained and safe this hotel is. Gorgeous views and great food too! Rooms are spacious and clean.
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any hotel. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews for this property before booking. I just looked a the rating, for which most of the positive reviews mistakenly reference the restaurant on site.
As others have mentioned, this hotel is sandwiched in between 2 restaurants. One was directly on top my room, the other directly below. The noise is constant…your mornings begin with music thumping at 7:30am and it doesn’t stop until 1am. You have 6.5 hours of quiet and that’s it. Besides the music constantly playing, the kitchen below and the diners in the courtyard are extremely loud and heat radiates throughout the hotel.
Also, there are no windows for natural light or outside airflow. You will run the AC the entire time when you’re in a city that has nice, cool air all the time.
I checked out three days early due to not sleeping either of the nights I stayed there. Was told by the front desk I would be refunded and have not been. Service is absolutely terrible too.
You’ve been warned, this place is absolutely awful.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
The room where I was very small and smell food the kitchen was below all the rooms
Casa Firenza wasn’t my first choice, but it turned out to be one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had!
We stayed in a beautiful suite overlooking the park and cathedral. The location was unbeatable, and we even enjoyed the city’s horse parade right from our balcony! Breakfast at Bogoli, the rooftop restaurant, came with stunning views of Cuenca. From early check-in to convenient laundry services and impeccable daily housekeeping, everything exceeded our expectations.
But what truly sets Casa Firenza apart is its extraordinary customer service. After experiencing a severe allergic reaction following a traditional limpia at the local market, I needed urgent medical attention. Despite it being Sunday, the receptionist arranged for a doctor to come directly to my room in less than 30 minutes. That level of care and responsiveness was incredible and genuinely felt lifesaving.
Every single staff member, from reception and security to the restaurant and housekeeping teams, was warm, attentive, and professional. Even our checkout experience was exceptional.
Beautiful rooms and great locations can be found anywhere, but genuine hospitality like this is rare. Casa Firenza doesn’t just provide excellent service; they truly care about their guests.
10/10! One of the best hotels in downtown Cuenca. I cannot recommend it enough, and I would absolutely stay here again!
volveria siempre
