The property was a little dated and could use an update. The ladies serving breakfast were great, yet the front desk staff were a little reserved. The location can't be beat. You're within walking distance of all sorts of shops and restaurants. And you do get great value for the price.

The staff was excellent, they went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was good, hot and fresh and the coffee was out of this world. The hotel is older and unique, very clean. We enjoyed our stay and the price can't be beat.

Little Jewel in the middle of Cuenca!

I came to a conference and the hotel's location was perfect! It was two blocks from everything. Great people and service. Front desk was attentive and the breakfast was very good. Service was wonderful. Room was quiet!

Near the center of the historic district, we could easily walk to all the sites, shops and restaurants from this hotel. What most impressed us was the warm and very helpful staff. They helped us to contact the cab company to look for an item we lost. We really appreciated their support because we are not good Spanish speakers.

The only friendly staff was the girl who did breakfast. The front desk staff couldn’t put their phones down long enough to help. You were locked out and hoped someone was at the desk to let you in. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Worst Experience Ever - Don't waste your time

They promised a airport shuttle pickup. Never came. They promised a late night check-in 9:00 pm no luck. When I arrived at 10:00 pm the front doors were locked. I rang the bell for 10 minutes but no answer. I had to find a taxi and look for a new hotel.

Outstanding value. Comfortable, quiet, simple rooms. Excellent water pressure. Location is terrific, directly across the street from the light rail stop. If arriving in Cuenca by air or bus, simply buy a $1 ride on the tram and disembark at Santo Domingo. The only exit is the front door, though, and it is locked at night without an attendant, which seems like a fire hazard. I once tried to ring the bell for the night clerk, but there was no response. I opened the door myself by locating the electronic release behind the desk. But if the electricity went out, what would you do?

El hotel muy bien ubicado, con facilidad de un parqueo pagado muy cerca. El desayuno muy bueno. La habitación limpia pero los colchones ya necesitan un cambio, estuvo fatal , hundido, no se podía descansar bien y encima esa cama rechinaba terriblemente. Deberían considerar cambiar colchones.
