โThe Crown Hotel is nestled in a quiet community near Carlisle. It is located near a train station but also has a parking area (spaces are a bit tight, designed for small cars but filled with larger cars). There is access to a private gym/fitness center on site. There is a lovely garden with seating. The morning breakfast is quite nice with many options. We stayed three nights while we explored Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District. โWe loved our stay here! The rooms were gorgeous, clean, nice tea and coffee and fresh milk. The most comfortable bed ever! We had a lovely meal and a drink on the terrace looking out over the river, it was bliss! Staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was awesome, we had a great time, we'll definitely be back!โ
โI had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. โ
โWe traveled two weeks in Scotland and Appleby Castle had by far the most delicious dinner. Staff was small but worked hard and swift. Castle was cozy and true to its heritage. โ
