Staff was extremely helpful and nice. Convenient location, close to main square; peaceful patios for relaxing.
Room was simple but spotless; could be noisy, depending on the neighbors. Would stay there again.

Disliked: Amenities
When I first got to my reservation they gave me the wrong type of room due to “system error” and had someone already booked, so had to stay in a standard room for my first night (not a good impression). Then my first shower there was ice cold water because the manager Abran turned off the gas had to request to have hot water. Then upon leaving to my excursion I told the front desk girl (yachira) to not go into my room due to my suitcase being open, the girl disregarded my request and still went into my room. There is no fridge or microwave in the rooms. Also the food was always cold and had to request to get the food heated up. Finally towards check out I was told I had to pay for the room, even though expedia had already charged me for the room. Overall aside from the aesthetics which is the only upside, I would NOT recommend this place. I was truly disappointed, since I had high expectations. If anyone comes across this place please avoid.
The hotel was nice enough BUT it was SUPER SUPER loud because of a large group was staying there and they were loud starting at 5 am....so I couldn't sleep. The hotel should manage the noise.
Very nice and helpfull staff. Nice clean rooms. Close to the center en safe walk from hotel to center. Only unsafety are the small Streets with traffic. The breakfast is not buffet and I think it's better to make a buffet breakfast.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Distinctive hotel with both pluses and minuses
It was wonderful to have a beautiful, colonial-style hotel located near the center of Cusco with room for a family of five (it's so much easier to accommodate four). The breakfast was delicious and a staff were quite helpful. The water pressure and hot water availability were what you would expect of a 3-star hotel, which is to say pretty good. The hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful in storing luggage, for example while we were away on a trek.
That said, there were a number of disadvantages that we had not foreseen. First off, a hotel of this price and quality should accept credit cards. Not accepting credit cards from a hotel that accepts on-line bookings is very inconvenient. The check-out time is 9 am. That seemed quite early to us, particularly given our later afternoon flight. (They did say we could check out at 10 am, but any time after that would incur an additional charge.) Third, the rafters in the loft second of the room are precarious, unforgiving and blend in to the ceiling; two of us hit our heads hard enough at various times to cause immediate collapse to the ground and much subsequent pain (of course there are no ice packs in Cusco). I don't know what they can do about this, but perhaps painting them a different color would be a good start. Finally, the hotel is on a narrow, rather deserted street with a narrow sidewalk and as such is reasonably difficult to access.
The staff was really helpfull in every aspect but specially in arranging to go to places which was critical for us since we were staying only a few days in Cuzco and surroundings. Rooms have nice views really nice decorated, warm style, wooden floors. Common areas are enjoyable and you always can have a coca tea. Away from the noice but still in the old city.
