Don't be misled by the "hostel" designation of this guest house - it is really a boutique, luxury residence in the heart of Daikon Island. First and foremost, the guesthouse owner, who speaks very good English, was very kind and drove me around the whole day. "First time in Matsue, but fourth time staying in an Onyado Nono property. As with previous stays, shoes off at the entrance, and roll your suitcase wheels over cleaning mats.
Then it's tatami matting throughout the hotel, lovely underfoot.
Great decor, cosy bedroom, and the hot spring bath on the 11th floor is so relaxing - the outdoor bath has great views over the city. Highly recommended"
