I just loved this small hotel. It is beautifully decorated, up on a mountain with gorgeous views. Laundry and kitchen facilities are available.
Be aware it's up a gravel road. There are only about 6 rooms and 2 of them share a hall bath.
My expectations were far exceeded. I would love to spend a week hiking and decompressing here. It's a stunning location and the house is just the perfect log cabin in the woods!
Overnight stay on our way back from Denali National Park. Owners were great. She made sure we had great directions since it is a remote area. It was very charming.

Disliked: Room comfort
Granite Room has limitations
The Granite room at Out of the Wild was a bit awkward. The bathroom is very small and there is no counter space for a make-up bag. The kitchen area is a shelf with a few dishes, cereal, apples, oranges, coffee, and some bagels. There is a small frig that contained peanut butter, milk, jelly and butter. I might have forgotten a couple of items but that's the jest of what was provided for a continental breakfast. There is no place to clean your dishes after you use them. The kitchen area contained a futon couch which is where our daughter slept. The queen bed in the bedroom was comfortable. There was also two chairs in that room. We stayed two nights in the Granite room and felt like it was too small for three people.
The lack of television set in the room encourages us to just relax and enjoy the peaceful setting of the place. We had a great view of the mountains from the bedroom and sitting room. Complimentary breakfast is okay.
The facility is new, with a breathtaking view of the mountains (weather permitting, of course). Only possible negative comment is that one of the showers is in a narrow and dark bathroom. Other items (beds, cooking facilities) were very good.
We had a wonderful time here! It was incredibly beautiful, and the detail in the room was amazing. We had our own kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. It was clean, quiet and peaceful. We would come back here again in a heart beat!
