Great one night business stop over in Derby Actually upgraded to Hallmark Hotel. Great one night business stop over in Derby. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast (service and food quality)!

Shocked to find that they wanted over £8.00 for parking in their car park. A bit cheeky seeing as I was staying with them. Breakfast was ample but food could have been warmer.

Impressive value for money.

Three sharing a room! Beds were spacious, clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff! They brought us extra towels, lots of bath stuff, two fans as the room was hot. I would highly recommend. The breakfast was hot and varied and fresh but across the road at the bigger hotel. My sister was offered gluten free porridge and bread. Very impressed! Just a 3 minute walk to our Christmas party. :)

The hotel is very close to the railway station which was ideal. A bit of a hike to the centre, but not an issue for most people. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was fairly plain and the decor was marked in places, but clean. Good facilities including hairdryer and ironing board/iron and kettle. Comfortable bed and quiet during the night.

Hallmark inn is just what you'd need for a short stay in Derby. Excellent location near the train station, and the main shopping area is just 10 minutes walk. I didn't mind going to the its other branch Hallmark Hotel just across the street for breakfast; which was good. The check in and check out was quite fast and the 24 hr receptionist helped with booking a taxi really fast to catch our bus. The only thing is that we asked for (meat free) breakfast boxes because we were leaving early last day; they were happily provided but were very basic and we got two instead of three but we didn't have time to clarify as we were in a hurry. All in all, I was satisfied with my brief stay there. Thank you.

Great value city centre hotel. Clean, warm, not flashy but everything you need. Reasonable parking charges. Georgia at reception was very helpful. Good buffet breakfast at sister hotel opposite.

The hotel seemed a bit tired . We stayed here about 4 years ago when on a visit to Derby, and it seemed a lot brighter. The were black marks on the walls of the bedroom. And also we were charged £8 per night for parking the car. Usually if you were staying in a hotel the parking would be free. It was grand and near the INTU shopping centre a couple of minutes walk. It was very central.

I did not like the need to go to another nearby (Hallmark) hotel for breakfast. Also, because this was both weekday and weekend nights, Expedia booked this as two separate bookings, meaning the hotel had two bookings with apparently no link between them. Thus, on the Friday night the room key card did not work and had to be reauthorised, not acceptable.

Very old fashioned hotel The staff made my stay they were so friendly at breakfast but overall no comparison to The mickleover court The hotel needs a lot of attention refurbishment sadly it could be beautiful x

The hotel itself was reasonable for the price we paid. There was no air conditioning in the rooms which meant it was a bit hot and stuffy. Other than that the room was clean and comfortable. It looked like the hotel was being used as a half way house though as there were lots of adults and children using the lounge/kitchen area and children playing in the corridors and laying on sofas around the hallways. Breakfast was lovely but this was served in the sister hotel across the road which was much nicer. We will definitely book in there next time
