“Very good hotel the only thing that was not that good was our window being on the inside did not like to open it with all bird droppings on the window sill”

“I went for business trip. So I didn't experienced the Casino and around of the Hotel. I think this hotel is good at for short travel. The room is clean, bathroom is convient for shower. Free Wifi can be used for 2 computer/room. However the eating included in dinner and breakfast in the hotel is normal.”

“Das Hotel ist super gelegen. Direkt an der Promenade in Douglas. Es ist gut mit dem öffentlichen Bus vom Flughafen aus zu erreichen. Das gebuchte Zimmer war top und die Mitarbeiter freundlich und zuvorkommend.”

“We had a two night stay at the Welbeck Hotel. Whilst the decor in the room appeared dated, it was very clean and bathrooms appeared to have been recently renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.”

“Nice location, short walk to the seafront . the road outside the apartment has parking restrictions from 8am-6pm. but this did not cause us any problems. Tesco is nearby for all the essentials and most bars and resturants about 10 min away.”

“Old style hotel. I had a great sea view. Bed comfortable and slept well. Room serviced each day. Breakfast included and was good and plenty enough. Good value for money. Lift was not working so had to lug my suitcase up to the 3rd floor.”

“Usually choose large hotels when going away for short breaks. Chose a smaller property this time round and we were not disappointed. First time visitors to the IOM. A personal welcome from Matt on arrival who showed us round the building and all the amenities. Clean, light and airy room with a view of the chickens! The chickens can be fed and are very friendly. Feed is provided free of charge. Breakfast choice is good, the food is prepared to order and is fresh. Lovely Manx breakfast! On site...

“The breakfasts were amazing, a lot of choice, not just the usual standard british breakfast. The staff were very good. The owners was very helpful when we had a medical emergency. The hotel is well located with a short walk to Douglas beach and the shops within easy reach. The only drawback for us was the stairs. There were a lot of them up to our room and no lift, but apart from that we had a lovely stay.”

“Well located hotel within five minutes walk of the ferry port. An old fashioned style B and B with seemingly new owners (Opul Group). Rooms are large but maybe a little in need of a refresh. Everything clean. Breakfast included which was surprisingly excellent. Buffet style but even catered for us as vegans which was amazingly welcome. Well located for the town centre, next door to wetherspoons which can be loud on a weekend, but no huge problem.”

“Lovely hotel on the sea front. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Shops, restaurants, steam railway all within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch. Room was adequate for a 1 night stay, lovely bathroom & comfortable bed. Would return again and recommend to others”

“The Regency Hotel is a gem. It's a traditional, clean, well maintained hotel with friendly helpful staff and excellent facilities. We completely enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again. “Great view! Unfortunately the hotel is shabby at best and left us feeling conned, as the online description and suspiciously positive reviews paint a misleading picture. Peeling wallpaper and piles of bedding left in narrow hallways from one day to the next. No amenities other than a kettle and a TV - the cheap kettle had scalding steam coming out of the handle and the TV didn't work. No wifi. Grimy windows and flaking paint.
