" Our stay at Kaluma Villas was very nice. We used this as our home base for exploring La Fortuna. It's a newer complex of villas about a 15 minute drive from the bustle of town. The chalet was clean, well equipped and welcoming. The living area is quite small, but bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The pool and patio area is a nice plus. "The property and surroundings were beautiful. The room was very nice and fit our family of four perfectly. We loved hearing the nature noise maker surrounding us and the nature hike was really fun too. I would recommend a 4x4 to get to the property, it is a good ways up a bumpy road."

They showed us a sloth and baby that live close by the reception area. The gift shop sources locally made goods, which was a really special.
