"Awesome location, directly across the street from the beach. No AC in main part of house. AC ran great in all bedrooms. Hot tub was not operational, and there was not toilet seat on one of the toilets. Manager said owner was shipping one from US, but never arrived. No daily housekeeping, refrigerator did not get or stay cold. And taxis we arranged for pick up to leave, never arrived. We were allotted one towel per person, and had to ask to get them changed out. For girls that use towels...

"Casa Mar was absolutely beautiful. My wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary with a week away and we would definitely do it again. An added perk we didn’t even realize until arriving was that this house is associated with the Awa hotel brand and you get all the perks of the hotel that is within a 5 minute walk. We loved everything about the experience. Manuel and Maria took great care of us as well!"

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres – All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"I enjoyed my stay at Majestic Elegance and had a great overall experience. The staff is extremely friendly, and our butler was truly awesome. Tipping in USD seems to pay off even better. There are tons of pools and bars, and the nightly entertainment after dinner is fun that keeps the resort feeling lively. It’s an especially great place if you enjoy drinking and being social. The food options are plentiful, though the quality can be hit or miss. The beach had quite a bit of seaweed during our stay so we spent more time in the pools. The TV and electronic features are a little outdated, but not a dealbreaker. If you’re not drinking or don’t feel like joining activities it can get a little boring, but overall it’s a beautiful resort with great service and lots to do if you want to stay engaged."

"We had a truly great experience at the Grand Palladium! The entire stay felt very luxurious and provided great value. The absolute highlight of our trip was the exceptional service. Our butlers were fantastic, and the staff in general went above and beyond. We want to give a special shoutout to the two girls working at the Family Selection pool—they were amazing! The service teams at The Nest and the regular restaurant were also excellent. The dining was a bit of a mixed bag. We really enjoyed the Brazilian steakhouse, which was pretty good. However, the Argentinian restaurant was just okay as the meat quality wasn't great. Unfortunately, we did not like the Asian restaurant at all and ended up leaving our food untouched. The Buffets are great. Despite the hit-or-miss specialty dining, the overall resort experience was wonderful. If the prices stay relatively close to what we paid for this trip, we will absolutely be back!"

"New remodel was nice, rooms are excellent and updated. Restaurants were not open all the time and hard to get reservations. So much seaweed and horrible smell that you could not be on the beach at all so we spent our entire vacation in the pool which was hot as well. Brown rings developed around the pools, not sure if it was from the seaweed debris or people not getting out to use the restroom (GROSS). Food was pretty good though. Drinks were decent. Hibachi was a hit and so was the Itialian place. Just not much to do for a full week when there is no beach to speak of."

"This was my first time staying at a resort, and overall it was a positive experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout my stay. Concierge staff were always available, checked on planned activities, and provided useful information. There were a few issues during the visit. The air conditioning in my original room was not working properly, but staff promptly resolved the problem by moving me to another room. Some staff provided unclear directions around the property, and there were occasional TV channel and internet connectivity issues, though I did not report those concerns. Restaurant reservations still involved waiting to be seated, and an out-of-service elevator created difficulties due to my leg and hip issues. Rain made the marble floors slippery, although caution signs were posted. Some activities and a planned tour were canceled due to weather conditions. Parts of the property showed signs of wear and could benefit from repairs and better-marked trip hazards. Despite these concerns, the outstanding service from the staff made the stay enjoyable. Overall, it was a good first resort experience."

Hotel Riu Latino - Adults Only - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"The staff was amazing and so kind. The food was incredible for an all inclusive and there were so many fun activities. We really enjoyed the Riu Party; which they do a great job promoting and it was honestly so much fun. The price was superb, especially compared to other more expensive all-inclusives in the area. All in all - 11/10!!"

"Just returned and have to say we had a wonderful time. Staff were welcoming and helpful, our room and all other places in hotel were very clean, and plenty of food options. If your looking to spend time on the beach this may not be the best place for you. The pool was fantastic for us. Found chairs for party of four every day. Nightly shows and karaoke were enjoyable. Also loved proximity to town. Just make sure you shop smart and don’t get taken advantage of. Hyatt Vivid definitely on our list to return."
