“An excellent location, and a wonderful pool. Good price, and a small, cute place. What was not so good, was our experience checking in. We had booked a garden room, but apparently these were "fully booked", and we were given a lesser room with a street view (a noisy street). We tried to explain that this was not what we booked, but they insisted it was the same, and that the two garden rooms were not available. We could switch the next day. That was fine, but we did not want to pay full price...

The staff are very welcoming; the accommodation is oversized and very comfortable; the swimming pool is terrific for being able to swim laps; the oceanfront location fabulous with kayaking and ocean swimming available . “We very much enjoyed our stay at the Ballena Regency. The hotel is new (its a year old), and has been finished to a very good standard. Our room was large, and being on the third floor, had great views including a side view of the ocean. The room was very clean, lots of storage and hanging space, and very good a/c! We also had a spacious balcony with seating area. The pool area is lovely, with loungers and umbrellas for shade. The breakfasts at the hotel are hard to beat - with fresh fruit...
