“An excellent location, and a wonderful pool. Good price, and a small, cute place. What was not so good, was our experience checking in. We had booked a garden room, but apparently these were "fully booked", and we were given a lesser room with a street view (a noisy street). We tried to explain that this was not what we booked, but they insisted it was the same, and that the two garden rooms were not available. We could switch the next day. That was fine, but we did not want to pay full price...

“Great location and hotel design but terrible terrible terrible customer service because the hotel management is sorely lacking any systems to ensure a good stay. There are so many issues here - the staff don’t seem to care, drink and food orders never arrive, despite repeated requests and even the offers of free food from management to address the issues experienced didn’t arrive. Many customers are experiencing the same issues. Definitely not worth the cost, stay elsewhere! ”

“Amaloh Boutique Resort offers a very relaxing holiday experience. The staff are very welcoming; the accommodation is oversized and very comfortable; the swimming pool is terrific for being able to swim laps; the oceanfront location fabulous with kayaking and ocean swimming available . We were two couples, from Norway and Australia) and we absolutely loved this boutique hotel. Perfect for a three night stay after travelling around the highlands of Sri Lanka.”

“We stayed here 4 nights and it was fantastic! The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. The food was good, served at tables under the shade of the coconut trees by our waiter, Karu, who was always attentive and polite. One day we requested a special meal of fresh fish for dinner (must be requested at breakfast time), which the chef cooked to perfection and served at the time of our choosing that evening. The staff let us know about baby sea turtles that were making...

“I loved my stay here, as the room was spacious and clean. The bed was super-comfy, with a medium-hard mattress. Slept SOOOOO well. Get the breakfast to start your day well - fruit plate, Sri Lankan omelette, coffee, tea, juice. The staff speak moderate English, and will make every attempt to ensure your stay is comfortable. Although this establishment is located well Google Maps is NOT to be trusted! Maps will take you to a location over the nearby creek (which stinks during the day)....
