A truly amazing resort and spa. The villas are spacious, peaceful, and beautifully designed. The staff were all extremely skilled, helpful, and friendly. The amenities abounded, and the spa offered many services. We had a lovely paella at the Mediterranean restaurant on site. Having pools and the sea accessible was also wonderful.

Dar D'or is the perfect place to stay in Fes! The location is excellent, not in the Medina where you get lost, but right next to it with clear signs that lead you to the door, and very close to the Blue Gate. Villa Quieta in Essaouira was definitely one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed. When you enter you are greeted with Moroccan beauty from all angles. The staff was also top notch, going above and beyond for our satisfaction. We didn't even arrive there until about 4 am, and there was someone up waiting for us so that we could get right in and get to bed upon arrival. Placed lived up to the pictures. Opted for room with private pool. Massive rooms, amazing Moroccan features, wonderful pool and separate garden. Grounds all in all were very impressive as well. Nice and quiet, away from the main town. Staff was attentive, although not as smiling as I am used to, but that may be cultural, not sure. Food - breakfast buffet was nice. Traveling with an old friend from high school, we shared a room with two beds. Patrick was the most charming and helpful of hosts, and the entire staff made us feel welcome. The riad is beautifully appointed, with no detail left untouched. Ali met us at the airport, and together with Patrick, they helped us plan a desert excursion.

If you're looking for an oasis of peace and quiet in the busy medina of Marrakech, this is the place to stay at.
