Hotel is not downtown but it is very close to the metro line and only about a 14 minute ride to city center and main train station. I consider the trade off fair as the accommodations are nicer and more spacious than anything you will find near city center for comparable money. "

"Tiny, sad, miserable little room. At almost $400 a night, I expected better. Also, is built over the central train station's train tracks, so I could hear the noise of the trains all night. Very disappointing. Would never stay there again. "

"Our "City" room was spacious and clean - having two comfortable chairs in the bedroom was good. Breakfast was good, although the selection of pastries could have been wider. The hotel has a booking scheme for breakfast which helps to manage how busy the breakfast room is. The location of the hotel is excellent if you are arriving by train, and is convenient for exploring the historic centre of Amsterdam. The staff that we dealt with were courteous and helpful. I would stay at this hotel on a future visit."
