"My initial impression was this property was going to be a downer. But when I got to my room, I was pleasantly surprised. Comfortable accommodations, mini fridge and microwave in-room, and a real coffee maker! TV has a good channel package including HBO. The pool was open, unfortunately I didn't have an opportunity to check it out. Overall, the High Desert Motel is a hidden gem. Very reasonable rates, clean rooms, nice amenities and great water pressure in the shower. I will be back! "

"Staff was absolutely amazing! Room was better than expected. My only complaint was my kids were looking forward to using the pool but the cleaning guy was cleaning during pool hours, he told us it was closed in a somewhat condescending tone. But I believe he was a contractor because he was wearing everyday clothes which is what threw us off a bit. Other than that, great for the price. Would stay again "
