"A lovely hotel, run with care and attention to detail"

"I stayed in the largest room on the top floor which has a large comfy bed a desk and a corner sofa for lounging on to watch TV. Bathroom is large with good shower and jacuzzi bath. The view from the room is amazing looking down towards Plymouth Hoe in the distance.Evening meal was delicious (lamb madras) as was full English breakfast. Staff really nice and very friendly "

"Lovely hotel in historic, quirky building with original features. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Good breakfast and lovely bar area that had a traditional pub feel about it. Spacious bedroom/bathroom with good facilities."

"I stay away 3/4 times a month with work and had I not been dining with suppliers locally would probably have missed this gem. They moved breakfast forward 20 minutes to allow for an early departure for me and what a breakfast! The fresh fruit, eggs benedict and the banana/strawberry smoothie were all 10/10 whilst I had a superb view over the harbour. The fresh milk and drinks in the room was also great, along with the shortbread biscuits. But the highlight for me was the bed. I intended to watch a film on the tv but didn't get passed the opening credits as it was too comfortable! Credit where credit is due. No wonder they've been voted Devon's best B&B."
