Anyways, check-in staff were lethargic with zero smiles or welcoming nature (someone needs to remind them that they work in hospitality). This is an old-school type homely resort with so much to offer. Great location. Great activities. Amazing heated pools - especially at this time of year! Excellent for families - would most definitely return. ”

“Modern rooms with great amenities. Fantastic location on lake with braai outside under room on private balcony. Great for couples getaway or even multiple couples as there are excess cutlery in the room”

“The room was very clean and the grounds were stunning. The old colonial style in the bar and restaurant with all of the history attached to it are characterful. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms are a little tired in places but that does not detract from the ambiance. ”

“This was an outstanding experience. The lodge has a stunning location perched on a cliff overlooking the river below. Our room was utterly delightful, Angelo’s cooking amazing and Pemba’s game drives literally stunning. Great , great game viewing.”

“Loved staying at Ardmore with its family friendly, as well as couples, atmosphere. The dining staff were excellent and very friendly. Arrival was done very quickly and efficiently. The food was amazing and the Honesty Bar was a perfect touch with a great little atmosphere, each room had a little fire going and made the overall ambience very cosy and nice. Great stay would love to come back oneday.”
