“On arrival at 2:45 for 3pm check in we were told by the girl it was £15 for an early check in, at £1 a minute we said no thank you we will sit in the car. We said there was coffee pods in the room but no Coffee machine, she said oh I don’t know, so that was the end of that. Next morning with another guest we were trying to get into the pub area, only to find both doors were locked. The same girl as yesterday eventually opened up and said you should use other door, when we said we did she said...

“We stayed for one night in an annex. Room was comfortable and clean with a few minor niggles e.g. the lock on the bathroom. Breakfast was a good choice of cold and hot options. Worth booking in advance for a discount. Location was good, easy walk into Mildenhall where there are plenty of cafes and restaurants. We would stay again if in the area.”

“Staff were helpful on arrival.room/suite was very big. Bigger than my first flat! Whilst it had charm it was clearly an old building and it needs a little tlc but that said, it was clean and excellent value. I would stay again.”

“We upgraded for a spa suite and were not disappointed! It included a lovely sitting area, big bathroom with shower & bath and a very comfortable bed. As well as straight access into the spa area. The lady on reception was very helpful when we checked in. The room was modern, clean and really spacious. There is also a mini fridge and bits for tea, coffee & hot chocolate and bonus cookies which were a lovely extra. The spa was very busy when we stayed but we still managed to try all the areas...

“Super cute establishment! Room was super clean, room service came every day and replenished everything. 2 complimentary bottles of water provided every day. Staff literally bent over backwards to accommodate every step of the way. The restaurant was absolutely fire!!”

“Great place to stay for Forest Live. Hotel is lovely, warm and welcoming. It was a warm day so quite hot inside but we spent time outside in the huge gardens, the bar was open and we sat next to the river. Breakfast was superb, fresh fruit and proper butchers sausages! Would definitely stay again.”

“I came back and am booked to come back again! Feel really welcome: my dog was immediately drawn in by Bella, the new addition to the Griffin household. It's the atmosphere here, the good quality food, the Battle of Britain ale, good dog-walking nearby, then team running the place, their location in the middle of Norfolk - great breakfast (thanks Charlotte), cooked to order. Rather than list superlatives, I should just recommend that you go and try them out - very good value for money, dog...

“The staff, in particular, the receptionists including the charming Lithuanian girl, were so helpful and informative. The food was pretty good as well and well presented. Having had to slum it in a rival establishment a few years’ ago, when there was no room at Poets Corner, it was a relief to note how well looked after we were.”
