“Beautiful setting, great breakfast, great place to eat dinner too, friendly and helpful staff”

“I don't know how this place got the good reviews it's got. Il start with the positives being generous. The sheets were clean, the room was big. That's where my generosity stops. The gentleman "welcoming" us really wasn't a people person. Made it clear he knew about the sticking door to the patio. The door did eventually lock from inside but it was so hard we unlocked it just to make sure we could get out in the morning. The shower was old and mouldy, the clamp to hold the shower head was cracked...

“We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful B&B in the Wicklow Mountains. The setting is absolutely stunning, with incredible views and lovely walks right on the doorstep. Our room was comfortable, beautifully presented and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfasts were fantastic and a real highlight each morning. We also loved meeting the friendly donkeys, who added a little extra charm to an already special place! A peaceful and welcoming escape in a gorgeous part of Ireland....

“We had an excellent stay at the Firecastle rooms and we will definitely return. Very clean room- spotless. I spoke to the lady cleaning the rooms in the morning and she was very helpful and pleasant. The staff in the downstairs restaurant (Harte's) and the delicatessen were all very accommodating. It was a truly excellent place to stay and we are fussy! Thank you. Ps. The Nespresso coffee machine was also amazing.”
