“This was the second time that we have stayed in this lovely old pub and our experience was just as good as on our first visit. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent and the service from Matt and his team is as good as you’ll find any pub in the UK. The village of Plush is charming but very small and rather remote so don’t any night life!”

“A lovely one night stay. The pub is in a quiet village location, close to lots of interesting places in beautiful Dorset countryside. Our room was large, with an equally large bathroom. We ate in the pub in the evening. The menu choice was good, prices reasonable and the food was excellent. We had our breakfast served outside in the garden and, again, this was tasty, hot and really enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended.”

“A very enjoyable stay, the room was beautifuly decorated with plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Had a meal in the restaurant first evening which was very enjoyable. Great outdoor and indoor space to have a drink. Poole is a lovely area and we thought this hotel was very good value.”

“Bankes arms!! First of all, I am not good at English, so I am not sure if the meaning will be conveyed well. Because of the connection with other itineraries, I could only plan the itinerary for one night at corfe castle, but it gave me regret that I was only just able to stay for one night. If I stayed for 2-3 nights, I would have added to the flavor of the trip by drinking beer or tea in the garden while looking at the wonderful view, steam train, and castle. Rooms very nicely appointed with lovely additional touches (fresh milk in a flask; home baked cookies; tea and coffee with cafetiere).
