"I don’t usually write bad reviews & I don’t like having to leave this review but here goes…
The hotel itself was decent but all that doesn’t matter because of the house keeping. Upon entering our room the toilet paper rolls had questionable brown/red stains all over the rolls in the holder & a 2nd roll looked like it had been dropped in liquid and replaced to let it dry out!? The bathroom light had 2 lights with 1 bulb burnt out. We contacted house cleaning who changed out the toilet paper but not the light bulb. Upon returning for the night I noticed the sheets did not smell clean. I tried to sleep anyway thinking it all in my head. However the next morning when I pulled back the sheets ( the side I did not sleep on), I noticed dirt(?) or worse in the bed!!! I had in fact slept in previously used sheets. I asked that all bedding be replaced before the 2nd night. Upon getting into bed there was a noticeable cleaner smell so I now know was not in my head. I’m disgusted that I slept in someone else’s dirty sheets!! Finally the light bulb was changed but bathroom has no fan for steam from showers? What the heck? Don’t All bathrooms have fans? The room was either too cold or too hot. I’m sorry but this hotel was almost $500 for 2 nights & I slept in a dirty bed!!"
"We stayed here for one night for a graduation at UVA. The hotel is not too far a drive from campus, so it is a convenient location. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the AC worked great, so you could adjust the room temperature however you desired. The bathrooms were clean and had hygiene products you could use if you forgot to bring them.
They have a small gym next to the pool that we did not use. We enjoyed being in the indoor pool for a bit; they have towels there that you can use. We were excited to use the hot tub, so we were bummed that it was not open. It seemed it was being cleaned out or something.
The free breakfast was great, with delicious make-your-own waffles, fruits, and coffee. They had a wide variety of food items. Overall, our stay was pretty comfortable and excellent. The only downside was the unexpectedly non-functioning hot tub. Other than that, I highly recommend this place!"
