Crooked Creek

"Crooked Creek rooms are guest ranch rooms. Check-in and check-out were easy and everyone we met who worked there were very nice and we enjoyed talking with them!! The rooms are each stand-alone log cabins. The beauty of this is no one is above your room or to the right or left of you. Ours had a small kitchen with a refrigerator/ freezer that holds more than the average 4 sodas and a couple of waters. Also an electric range. We did not do any cooking. Lighting was good once we figured it out. Shower had a strong stream and temperature was easy to dial in and stayed consistent. Towels were like the type of towels I have at home and I really liked them. The weather was starting to turn cold and the heating unit worked well. We never touched the temperature controller and the room was comfortable all night. There was a TV in the room with a Vsee box. We use that at home so we found that to be a nice bonus! Good internet connection. There is a restaurant next door and the food was fabulous!! It is a must visit restaurant. We were very satisfied and will stay there again when we are in the area."

"We arrived late and checked out early so we didn’t get the chance to enjoy the whole experience of this property. It was very clean and the lake was beautiful! The location is convenient and the host was very nice. And we saw a moose on our short drive to town!"

Log Cabin Motel

"We had stayed here before some years ago and like to stay at properties with some history, like this collection of log cabins on the National Register of Historic Places and the oldest lodging in Pinedale. The cabin was cozy but note the bathroom is in one of the bedrooms which might be a turnoff for some. The hosts left oatmeal, coffee and cocoa packets (but only two and there were four of us). Only negatives were a smelly shower curtain and less then ideal cleanliness in the bathroom, and the kitchen sink strainer was nasty. Pinedale is just about 90 minutes (and a lot cheaper for everything from gas to food to lodging) south of hyperexpensive Jackson, so it makes for a good stop on the way to or from Jackson and Grand Teton and Yellowstone NPs to the north. Also, there are beautiful lakes in the nearby national forest, abundant wildlife (we saw a doe mule deer and fawn right outside our cabin), and opportunities for water sports, hunting, fishing, birding, and hiking very nearby and much less crowded than the national parks."

"This is a self-check-in property so the staff is not full-time on site. The location is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The style is very welcoming. The beds are super comfortable memory foam and new. I really liked the place and would happily stay again."
