Wonderful experience! You feel like you’ve stepped back in time to the early 1900’s. The lobby and foyer is grand and beautiful. We loved the elevator that had to be operated by the staff. Fatima, the hotel clerk was exceptional and made us feel so welcome.

The hotel is an older treasure! The 24' lobby with soaring columns with golden frieze around the tops are stunning. There is a great grand piano in the lobby that guests on our other frequent visits have played beautiful music on. The food and service in the restaurant very good. The rooms are not huge and neither are the bathrooms, but they are clean, comfortable and the decor is interesting - with letters and postcards from the early 1900s. We have stayed here 5 or 6 times and have always enjoyed our visits.

I stayed a second night with a different reservation and they couldn’t accommodate the same room, so I had to check out and recheck in. Historic hotel has a lovely lobby and extensive restaurant menu. However, the rooms are very dated and bathrooms very small.

Staff great. Bathroom not so much. Was supposed to be accessible. Just because there is a grab bar in there does not make it accessible. It was outside the tub so not reachable. Upgrade the toilet and put in a shower and it would be great.
