"Staff was very friendly Rooms are small not in great condition Walls all marked up bed Sheets had someones hair in them Which is gross but i guess can happen… they are stingy with the amenities… no drinking water except for 2 bottles … definitely not worth the money also a loud buzzing sound in the room all night long… bathroom not the cleanest…. Photos that they provide on the website are a bit deceiving….."

"Everything from the customer service to the amenities were awesome, but one issue I had, and it was kind of a big one. The beds were too hard for me and my family, and thus we were not able to sleep well, so we woke up with back and neck pain, and were not well rested and we were all tired all day."

"The Hotel Salem is a quaint, modern, well styled hotel. The location is perfect for exploring Salem on foot. Having a little restaurant and bar onsite was an added bonus!"

"Room was decent, but no microwave or coffee pot? Weird for the price. Just a drink fridge. It's a mile or so walk to the closest shops. But cute. Staff seemed kind of put off and amenities are few. "

"Did a 1 night stay with my partner in the off season. All the staff were very chill and friendly, the room we were in was nice- pretty basic, but clean and safe. And the room amenities (shampoo, soap, lotion, coffee+tea, etc.) were also nice. The continental breakfast was pretty average, no hot breakfast items besides the coffee/tea provided, but we’re not picky so it worked for us."

"I stayed there with my husband and two small children. We were supposed to stay for two nights however the heat in our room was not working. We had mechanics come up twice to fix it, second time they replaced the whole unit and in the middle of the night it completely stopped working again. There was snow outside so you can imagine it was extremely cold. My son (4yrs) had a stuffy nose. The kids didn't sleep at all that night. We decided to cancel the second night. They said we would be refunded but I have not received it. This was during February vacation and it is now mid March. I've received no information and no response. Also to top it off we had our luggage plus our kids luggage and having no access to the second floor via elevator is so inconvenient! We had to go up stairs to the second floor with everything. Just seems odd for a family hotel. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. Very disappointed as Ive loved staying at the other doubletree locations. "
