"Convenient location, affordable room supplied with comfortable beds and thick, fluffy towels. Trade-offs: The wifi is slow, and the walls do not cancel ambient street noise including a very vocal rooster. Thinking of it as charm rather than annoyance helps."

"The property was in an excellent location. Best location on the entire island with wonderful views of the ocean and watching the airplanes land. Great views from the 5th floor veranda. The food at the Hotel was expensive but pretty good. The food was better at both nearby restaurants. The SandBar and Sunset Bar and Grill were a step above and better priced. Tortuga which is located just a block or so on the other side was also excellent! The town of Maho also has a grocery store so you can stock up on essentials. Out of the 4 beaches we experienced on the Island, Mullet Bay Beach was by far the best. Better than Orient beach. The Arrow Restaurant on airport road was also excellent. I don't recommend renting a car as the roads are too narrow and traffic can be horrific. Taxis are cheap and plentiful. Bring $250 cash to pay for taxies over a 10 day period. Most rides are $15 to $25 one way. Taxis are new and very nice. Drivers are excellent and fun to talk to. Much cheaper and safer than renting a car. The staff at the front desk did not go out of their way to tell you about excursions on the island. We almost had to pry it out of them. It is best to select excursions at the hotel and have them pick you up and drop you off at the hotel so no need for a taxi. This was extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. Next time we stay we will ask more questions at the desk regarding excursions and things to do."

"Recently went for a long weekend trip with family and decided to book here as it was on the boardwalk on the beach and walking distance to many restaurants, bars, gift shops and downtown Phillipsburg. The condo had a king bed suite and 2 queen sofa beds, and 2 bathrooms perfect for our family. Loved that it had a well equipped kitchen with appliances, pots, pans, etc, washer and dryer, 2 balconies. And was a good price than many hotels and resorts. Sherwin and Sherlyn were friendly and accommodating. Del, at the front desk, was a gem, very knowledgeable about the area and ensured we had a great experience and wonderful time during our stay. The condo overall is outdated and could use some renovations. It’s a condo so does not have all the amenities like a resort or hotel. But overall, it serves the purpose and is very comfortable. It’s right on the beach, so taking a swim or sun tanning in the morning was done with ease. My biggest issue that I learned was that the area relies largely on the cruise ships coming in for their businesses. So if no cruise ships are setting port that day, most of the restaurants and shops are closed for the day so it’s like a ghost town. Does not take into consideration the guests who are staying in the area who also need the shops and attractions to keep us entertained and busy. But again overall, there are other areas of the country to venture to, so the peace and quiet in the area is nice to come back to."
