“This property was breathtaking. It was incredibly peaceful to just sit on the porch and listen to the birds with the view of the pond. Anytime we needed anything. The staff was incredibly responsive. Waking up to pastries every morning fresh from a local bakery was so wonderful! I would recommend this cottage to anyone!”

I believe I paid a deposit on the room for one night's stay (the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend). Had a lovely afternoon/evening in Sag Harbor and headed to the property after dinner. Flew in from California to attend the Hamptons International Film Festival, drove 3 hours to get there, and this hotel took it upon themselves to cancel my reservation without ever contacting me the day before I arrived. I called when I was 5 mins from the hotel to make sure my room was ready which is when I found out they decided to cancel my reservation with the reason being because I chose to pay at the hotel vs. pay in advance so they gave my room to someone willing to pay...
