“We were delighted with our stay at The Ship Inn, right from the warm welcome to someone checking whether we'd left something behind. “Really friendly welcome at reception and we quickly got our keys for two twin rooms. The rooms were fine, clean and comfortable. We used the hotel to stay overnight before a Channel Tunnel crossing which was just 10 minutes away. It was the cheapest hotel that I could find in the area and exceeded my expectations. The decor was improved from the hotel's appearance on Channel 4's "4 In A Bed" a few years previous. Slightly disappointed that they don't offer breakfast, but Gingers in Hythe...

“Hotel was in the last few days of ownership before handover to new owners. Old owners were pleasant enough, but I felt we got the minimum acceptable service. We had stayed twice before, but it made no difference. Minimum acceptable service means Average Star Marking.”

“Hotel bien situé, personnel accueillant, propre, la vue sur mer est genial, petit dejeuner continental pas mal du tout (large choix), on peut se garer facilement dans la rue (payant), on avait réservé une chambre de 5 et nous n'etions pas les uns sur les autres. Petits points negatifs quand meme: les murs sont fins (bruit de télé...), literie pas top et douche pas toujours facile a regler.”

“We only stayed the one night, and would definitely book here again. The staff were extemely helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean and tidy. Our room could probably do with an update, but it was clean, spacious, and had a great view. Breakfast was very nice with a great choice of hot drinks and huices as well as both a cold selection buffet, and a cooked breakfast option, all included in our booking. Overall we were vey happy with our stay.”
