Best Western Plus La Mesa San Diego

"We stayed at this Best Western for a night only, as we were in town for a wedding a few minutes away. So in reality we only stayed here to sleep and freshen up the day of and the next morning. The hotel itself is pretty well maintained, parking is great, and the young lady who checked us in was very friendly and told us about the breakfast hours for the next morning, we didn't eat there so not sure about the breakfast itself. Our room was a good size, with a balcony overlooking the jacuzzi. I appreciated the couch in the room as well as the nice sized personal fridge for water or other refreshments you wanted to bring to the room. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but again for two of us for one night, it was just right. The bed was comfy, but the pillows is where I had an issue, because they were much more on the softer side. I like my pillow more on the firmer side, and these were like sleeping on cotton balls. I had to place two pillows on top of each other to try to me comfortable, but unfortunately that didn't help because I ended up waking up the next morning with a headache, which happens when I don't sleep on a firm pillow. But, that's not the hotel's fault really, it's what they offer. Overall, it was a nice stay for an overnight room. If I were to stay here again though, I'd definitely bring my own pillow for my personal comfort."
