Best thing was the view. Looked right at the fireworks at eye level. Tha great big bathroom with the Jacuzzi bathtub was very nice too. We had a fridge, stove, and utensils and pans too. When we had to check out early because of a family emergency they were very gracious.

Selina was wonderful! She gave us a ride to our room a mile up hill and picked us up in the morning! The other guy at the desk said they didn’t have a shuttle and told us to go online to find our room. The pool closed at 6pm disappointing. Food was great. Just don’t try bringing your family of 28 on a Wednesday evening. They laughed at us!

The waterfront location was very nice and peaceful, however, room updates would make this venue more desirable. When booking, we were under the impression this was a part of the Moran Mansion property (which at one time it may have been, but not anymore). The mansion is now closed and owned by a new owner who is renovating. The booking site was somewhat unclear on some details, but staff were kind and helpful.

We stayed in a deluxe suite, it was obviously recently done and looked immaculate, including linens and towels; the suite had 2 balconies with view over the bay. On the negative side there were no restaurants open in Rosario but Eastsound is a less than a 10 minute drive and there were several there. Very close to Moran Nationalpark, plenty of hiking and scenery; the Moran mansion however is closed.

The reviews we read had us worried, but our experience was wonderful. We had a beautiful room right at the water’s edge and enjoyed swimming in the pool. Although the washing machines could use some updating, we were able to wash everything we needed on-site. The staff was kind, but be aware that if you arrive after hours, you will need to find your room on your own. We had no trouble because the maps were clear and the directions made sense. However, other reviewers are correct when they warn you to have your key-entry information saved or printed before arriving. There is no cell service at the property, so you will have to backtrack several miles to access your room information. I would not really describe the property as a resort anymore. Different parts of the property appear to be under separate ownership. The mansion does not seem to be part of Rosario, there are no tennis courts, and the restaurant is also separately owned. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Rosario and would gladly stay there again. Four otters splashed in the water below our room in the early mornings, and seaplanes flew in about once a day. It was quiet at night, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing.

Nice enough property. Email that told us exactly where to find our room was misleading, giving the address as 1800 Rosario Road. The actual address of the room was 2300 Rosario Road. We drove around quite a bit looking for 1800. Google Maps put us between 1600 and 1900 but 1800 was not found. Hostess at the nearby restaurant pointed out where to go to talk to someone onsite who could direct us to our room (the building markings were not explicit that we would find someone there to help us; we had driven it past several times). He was cordial but gave me the impression, after I showed him the email from the property, that he thought I should have known based on the room number which started with 23. We enjoyed the water view from our deck.

We had a nice stay at the hotel even though everything was closed. We knew that when booking though. The property as a whole needs renovating (hence closed), but the location on a peninsula was great with great views. You can see the potential of the property. And the grounds are pretty well maintained. You can walk around the grounds from the harbor to the other side/other bay. We saw an otter, harbor seal, sea stars, and eagles. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, but the carpet definitely needs replacing. We would stay there again if cost was still reasonable. I would choose an oceanfront room though, to get a full view of the bay. The staff were great and were very responsive to our needs.

My family stayed at Rosario Resort for two nights in one of their one-bedroom with two queen sized bed units. The resort provided us with a foldaway cot and it fit in between the two beds, though I it was a little tight, so having only 4 guest is better. Having a refrigerator and microwave let us have simple meals in the unit letting us vacation on a budget. The bathroom was very large and with two vanities. It was also the brightest bathroom I've had in a hotel. The hairdryer was adequate but could have done with an update (the handle was starting to feel a little sticky). The hot water was plenty hot and had a good flow so you can enjoy a nice hot shower after a long hike! The staff were very friendly and provided good service. They were all very young and gave me a feeling of being at a summer campsite. We went to Orcas Island mostly to enjoy the island and not so much to enjoy the amenities of the resort. We did enjoy the pool the second evening for an hour, but I was surprised it closed at 6 pm. I didn't see the sign until 6:30 pm and we left around 6:45 pm but no staff had come to tell us we had to leave, so the closing time doesn't seem to be strictly enforced. The only negative is that for the first 24 hrs, the TV streaming kept getting paused as if there was a slow Internet. I called the front desk and they said they would look into it. But I solved the problem by unplugging and replugging in the streaming box and reconnecting it to the resort's Wi-Fi.

The Rosario Resort seems to have fallen on hard times. While we liked the seaside setting and the cute little boat marina, the rest of the facilities looked abandoned or neglected. The two-story building we stayed in was well maintained, but we hardly saw anyone (other guests or staff) during our 2 night stay. We also discovered that the museum and restaurant are closed for renovations. Again, nothing unpleasant if you like secluded places but the whole thing had kind of weird vibe.

Great location, with a nice balcony and view. Bed was ok, but pillows were not. We would have appreciated some direction on where the hotel room was. It’s located nearby the hotel mansion but there was no one to instruct us where to go and no message that the room was in a different location under the name Bayside Inn.
