The property, the rooms, the restaurants were all what we expected it t be for a resort. The staff was not only friendly, but very responsive to any and all needs that arose during our visit. The food at all of the restaurants was fresh, well prepared, and delicious. A nice bonus was being able to enjoy the food and amenities at their sister property, RUI Guanacaste. We will definitely recommend RIU Palace, and will absolutely stay there again.

The staff were so helpful, polite and welcoming. We arrived early in the morning and the lovely receptionist gave us the room 7 hours earlier which was very kind of her. The hotel and rooms need renovation, but still is very clean and pretty. Pools and outdoor is great. Food was good for an all inclusive hotel because normally you don't get very high quality food in these packages. There was a lot of fun activities for whole day. At all we had a great time there and I think it's a great place for family vacation.

The property was seemingly in the middle of a regular town. Which I found good but know there is no walking to other beaches. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have no complaints. I’m we found it quite enjoyable. And kudos to the nightly performers!

The resort was very clean and well maintained. Room: a jacuzzi in the entrance of the room-weird. Dining:The long lines and wait for the restaurants. There was no reservation option. Plus the food was bland and the drinks watered down. Entertainment was lacking.

The RIU palace was good place to stay. I would recommend. Entertainment crew were great. Nice shows. Close to the beach. The rooms were good and spacious. ( Maybe in need a little TLC ) However two things to note: 1- they should let us book for ala cart restaurants. Not line up at 5:15 or 5:45 2- The food was OK. The Italian, Krystal (fusion) and Tokio (Japanese) had great food. However, the steak house was not great. Steak over done and service not good. Overall good vacation.

Riu Palace is severely outdated and allegedly scheduled for a remodel in the coming months. With that being said the maintenance of the building was lacking. Room key cards would stop working randomly, the air conditioning was struggling to cool the room and the rooms looked and felt like a time machine to the 1980s. The grounds and pools were very nice and maintained. Getting to the beach was an obstacle course of avoiding being harassed to purchase things. The food was mediocre at best. Very disappointed with my stay.

We enjoyed. Thank you for my daughter’ s bday decorations. It was big surprise and fun. Everyone was helpful and friendly. First room we stayed at was on the ground floor and we found many bugs in our room including a lizard. The staff were very accommodating and gave us a different room. Thank you.
