Clean & friendly BUT THE POOL IS NOT IN THEIR BUILDING YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE YMCA DOWN THERE STREET that was the whole reason I got this room because it was next to train ride & the rest of our time we were going to hang out by pool with some mix drinks from the bar…. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN

This hotel was quite a surprise. Wonderful, modern, beautifully appointed with all the nice touches. The breakfast was wonderful, and we really enjoyed the covered & enclosed front porch for having breakfast outdoors. It was so nice that we are already discussing reasons to return to the area, just so we can stay there again! I should also mention that the cost surprisingly moderate for such a fine establishment. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!!

This hotel is stunning — newly renovated with attention to details and preserving the historic aspects of the building. Our room was beautiful, immaculate, and spacious. The Tygart is an historic hotel fully renovated in 2024. The decor is tasteful and pays homage to historic communities in the area. Original tin ceilings in the lobby and millwork throughout are surrounded by modern amenities and original local artworks. Great on sight bar and restaurant.

Really enjoyed our stay.
We were a little leary of staying in a downtown hotel, but we are very glad we did. The hotel is lovely and clean and easily accessible. Staff were friendly and helpful. A special event prevented us from trying the restaurant this time, but staff helped us find a choice of other eateries in town. Thanks !!
