This hotel is a hidden gem. Very modern accommodations in the heart of Appalachia. Very pleasant and responsive staff. Dinner in the adjoining restaurant, Oxley House, was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality of the meal. Don’t hesitate to book a stay here and enjoy the city of Elkins and the surrounding area!

We stayed at Tygart Hotel for a ski trip and absolutely loved it. The hotel was clean, comfy, and so cozy—such a warm, welcoming place to land after a long day on the slopes. It’s a charming small-town hotel with beautiful mountain views, and we loved the beautiful local art displayed throughout the hotel. The full breakfast buffet every morning was a major highlight. Tip for skiers: if you’re getting lift tickets for Timberline Resort, you can purchase them directly at the resort for a discount—we didn’t know and bought ours online in advance. We’d definitely stay here again!
