This property looks like it had set for years. The work that was done to make the place rentable was minimal. The place is a work in progress. The bed was good with clean sheets and pillow cases.

Nice place to stay

The best place to stay for us when we are in town Emporia, va. The on and off I-95 is excellent north or south bounded. The Truck stop is across the street within 2 minutes walking distance with a Huddle House and pizza restaurant. I stay here very often when traveling south. The hotel is within 10 minutes of Cracker Barrel one exit up or 301 north when the instate is backed up along with several often dinning establishments.

Good room for an affordable price. Excellent customer service that listened to and corrected my issues in a timely and efficient manner. Specifically they helped correct a mis-booked travel date. Stayed 2 nights and will stay again next time i need a room in that area.

It’ll do ..

This was our second stop here . The rooms and the hotel are old and dated but it is clean . The location feels very safe and is convenient to 95 . There is a Huddle House across the street . It’s older but still ok for a cheap overnight stay traveling on 95 . Pet friendly!

The room was kind of dirty. Cig burn in the sheets. Everything was old. I found a Walmart receipt on a shelf in plain sight that was over a year old. Walls were paper thin. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff was very nice. The room was dirty, the furniture old, a drawer missing out of the dresser. The door between the rooms had a broken lock. A woman approached me when I was outside the room and asked for a cigarette if I had anything to drink and money. I felt very unsafe.

For a low budget off the highway hotel this was clean, and a great location. However, the electrical system made a buzzing sound every few minutes all night long making sleep impossible. A hole in the bathtub was patched over with a plastic mat. Plenty of deferred maintenance. Also, no fresh coffee was available anywhere.

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff

Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, no odor, and appeared to have been updated recently although it is definitely an older style motel. The room suited my needs for an overnight stay perfectly though. Everything in the bathroom worked and was clean. The bed was comfortable. The only issue I had, albeit a minor one is the temp regulation was inconsistent from the SC/heater unit. It worked fine but I could get a consistent temp so I'd wake up either too hot or too cold at times. To be fair, the weather was a bit uncooperative also, and that, I am sure, contributed. Overall, if all you need is a quick overnight stay this is a great place. Easy in, easy out convenience store across the street, and a clean comfortable room. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was for such a low cost. Can't ask for much more than that.

This property takes the concept of low-budget to a whole new level, and my standards aren't very high. It looked nice from the outside, but inside was pretty grungy...not dirty, just grungy. There was such an unpleasant odor in the room when I entered, (which I think was bleach) I actually thought of leaving. Also, it was skimpy with toiletries. Positives include not only a low price, but the staff was very nice and helpful, the TV and wifi worked, I felt safe, there was a cheap gas station right across the street and it was the easiest on/off the highway I ever encountered. Yes, I would go there again.

When I got there to check in the lady said I had to pay in cash, and then said their machine was down. I explained that I only had tap to pay and that I had just drove 17 hours. I asked why didn’t it say I had to pay in cash when I booked the room? Finally the lady let me into the lobby and amazingly the machine started working.
