“Helpful location for what we needed. Room was clean and reasonably well appointed with a couple of bottles of water. Shower was a little tricky to figure out what knob did which thing but otherwise fine. Food in the pub in the evening was ok, but didn’t come across as particularly home made. The brie wedges were no better than the ones you get in the supermarket for £1. Service was a little varied. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. I can see their market and it’s not me and that’s fine.”

“Conveniently situated & serves the one of the best breakfasts in all of the travelling we’ve done over the years throughout the UK. The owner-hosts were very helpful & genuinely friendly without being imposing. Only one minor criticism of the room in that I found one of my pillows was flat & the other like having my head on a rock. However, my wife’s were fine, so that made everything alright as she told me to stop moaning😉 Our thanks to the owner Peter for the recommendation for the best fish...

“Lovely small boutique hotel near the quayside with friendly staff and nicely decorated. Very busy with a coffee shop and restaurant on lower ground. Being one of the oldest buildings in the town it has low ceilings, steep stair cases, beams and wonky floors! The bedrooms are spotlessly clean and our bed and pillows were very comfortable. Free WiFi, bottled water, tv, tea & coffee, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and USB plug points besides the bed are included. A couple of rooms are on the...

“Julia and Jamie were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked every morning, with plenty of choice available. The seafront with lots of restaurants and amenities are within walking distance, making it a very convenient location. The mattress was a little too firm for our liking. We would also have appreciated the option of later breakfast slots (the latest slot was 9-9.15am) and blackout curtains/blinds in the bedroom, which would have allowed us to...

“A fantastic, spacious hotel. I couldn't believe the size of my room! The en suite was immaculate and the mini fridge with water and milk provided was a lovely touch. The manager, Louise, is lovely to deal with and makes the place feel like a home from home. I am booking for a second time this month. The car park on site is a huge bonus - no driving up and down the street looking for a space. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Torquay.”

“This was my second visit to this accommodation and it was just as good as the first. The chalet has everything you could need for a self-catering facility. Clean, with also plenty of good quality towels. There is also plenty of parking space. As this was a summer stay, there were plenty of families with children and dogs. There are no facilities for children to play on so you do need to entertain them. Even with small children and dogs, the chalet park was very quiet and everyone very friendly....

“I called just to confirm that we would be able to go to the office to collect the keys on Sunday and that the office would definitely be open , even had an email confirming this but this was not the case - luckily for us someone in the office was able to call us to confirm the process that we had to take to collect the keys , just as well that we had a signal where we were on the time of the call !! “The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain.”
