"This was a nice change from staying in large chain hotels. This had a homey feel to it. I'll come back. "

"Our room was amazingly comfortable. The pictures online did not do it justice. 2 Qn beds, cozy sitting area with couch and small table, plus leather sitting chair by tv. Bathroom was very spacious with shower/tub combo, convenient closet. Owner/operator was super friendly, gave us lowdown on hikes in area, drew us maps, great stories. I would stay here again without a doubt."

"This is such a wonderful little place to stay in Escalante. Every little detail has been considered in making a guest’s stay comfortable. From the doggie treats and bowls, mini first aid kit and throw blankets on the outdoor rocking chairs…I could go on and on. It’s obvious a lot of time and dedication has gone into this place. Such attention to detail was much appreciated by us, and I can’t recommend this little place of solitude more to the passing traveler."

"Nice, clean motel. Great that they accept dogs and had a goodie basket to welcome them. There were sharp stickers around the motel, which unfortunately got into their fur. Be aware!"

"Pleasantly surprised by the Ponderosa Inn. Nondescript from the outside, but the room was very appealing. Well-appointed, with a very tall wood-clad ceiling. Contactless entry went fine. The microwave in the common area was put to good use heating up the excellent pizza from the nearby Escalante Outfitters."
