I know, it’s Motel 6 and you can’t expect a lot, but the condition of this building disappoints. The concrete stairs outside are cracked and sometimes mismatched (replaced individual treads). The door to my room did not close fully, meaning one had to slam it from outside to get the lock to engage and inside there ws always a strip of light and extra noise from the freeway. Oh, yeah, constant freeway noise obviously. The other guests were generally quiet, which was nice. The bed was one of those hard, spring filled ones. The pillows were actually fairly nice. The shower was a newer replacement unit and had good pressure, but water somehow kept leaking all over the bathroom floor, despite my efforts to keep the shower curtain shut. The floors had obviously been mopped as they had the stickiness of cleaner when I arrived, yet there was something that looked suspiciously like dried blood under the table. Overall, skip this one and try the 6 at Gateway. It was nicer, at least the last time I stayed there.
