"The apartment is located in a secure building near one of the main streets in Nice and around a 5 minute walk from the train station - excellent location if you’re planning on travelling up and down the coast by train. The building itself leaves a lot to be desired, the stairway smelt strongly of urine every morning even though cleaning was visible. Hôtel Les Terrasses D'Eze

"We really enjoyed our short stay at the hotel. The room was clean and the balcony was a nice place to relax. The pool area was clean and the pool was outstanding with beautiful views all around. The staff were friendly and polite. We did have to wait a bit when looking for service at the pool, it seems the bell for contacting staff may have been faulty but the maintenance staff sorted that out without issue. We enjoyed our breakfast with a varied choice to suit all tastes. We found the dinner menu to be a bit lacking in choice and the food was a bit bland, for example, the Thai chicken curry seemed to lack spice. The bar area was nice, with inside and outside seating and we found the staff to be helpful and polite, as were the staff at reception and in the breakfast and dining room. There isn’t really anything to complain about as a hotel of choice but it is rather remote, so unless you are driving your own or a rental car, transport to and from Eze village or beyond via taxi or uber are rather expensive for the distance travelled, which cannot be done as a pedestrian on foot. There are no pavements on the road to and from the hotel into Eze village."

"Hadn't realized that a railway line separated the hotel from the beach and finding a route to Nice proved challenging. The hotel itself I would describe as IBIS quality, it was adequate and clean, the pool is unusual but didn't get chance to use it. The reception wasn't manned when we arrived and it took several minutes before we were attended to. The bedrooms were in a different building from the reception but the rooms were comfortable and clean."

"Nice was our home base for 5 nights to enjoy Eze, Monaco, Monte Carlo, Antibes & Cannes. Victor Hugo was a beautiful European vibe hotel, great location just blocks to beach, to train station, and so many restaurants all around - pretty church right across the street. The main street it is on is lined with beautiful trees. Rooms are simple but very good size as well as good sized bathroom & shower, mini fridge, cute little balconies, good a/c. Great full breakfast each morning is included, lovely outside patio to enjoy it on...they had a Happy Hour at night (we never made it to). They offer beach towels you can use, ask front desk. Front desk staff helpful and friendly. I would definitely return."

"Breakfast was great Location is perfect, across the street from the océan, near many food options and a short walk from old Nice. I regret not getting ocean view room. Staff were kind and friendly. Only comment is that it took a long time for rooms to get cleaned. Sometimes not until the 17h"
