Excellent lodging option very close to the Duomo and central to Florence. It is a terrific location in that it is close to everything but secluded off a very small road that only gets traffic for people checking in or leaving the property. The lodging is in a very old tower that has been converted to about 10 rooms. The front desk is excellent and surprised us when we checked in by telling us they would deliver an assortment of pastries to our room every day for breakfast. We had the Gemma suite which was not large but well laid out with a very comfortable bed and furniture and a very nice bathroom.

The ancient building was retrofitted with all the modern elements without compromising its architectural features. The staff was friendly, helpful in suggesting restaurants and making sure we had everything we needed. As a bonus each morning there would be a box delivered to our door with sweet pastries and savory sandwiches from a local bakery! Fabulous start to our day combined with the complimentary coffee and teas already available.

Fabulous old building but fully refurbished with modern suites. Only 12 suites, all unique with 2 on each floor. Loads of room. Staff fabulous. Only minus point is there’s no bar or restaurant, but it is located within an area that has literally hundreds on its doorstep. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel suite was stunning. Completely exceeded our expectations. Only issue was we were led to believe there was a rooftop lounge and there was not. The location was perfect for shopping, sites, nightlife & dining. There are zero amenities, no room service, no morning coffee…but I’d still stay here again and again.

We had a wonderful stay at Donati Luxury Tower Suites. The room was beautiful, spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful from arrival through checkout—they explained everything in the room, shared some interesting history about the building and area, called taxis for us, and made sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. Highlights: * Fantastic, very walkable location * Extremely clean and well maintained * Helpful, attentive staff * Elevator was definitely appreciated * Amazing-smelling luxury toiletries * A box of pastries left outside our room each morning * Housekeeping did a great job A few things to know: * We stayed in the Raffaello room with Duomo views, which is advertised as having a jacuzzi. It’s really a one-person bathtub with jets rather than what I would consider a jacuzzi. * There is a rooftop terrace with a hot tub, but access comes at an additional cost—about €200 for two hours or around €350 for a half day. * We also didn’t see anywhere on-site to refill water bottles, so I’d recommend picking up bottled water nearby. Overall, a fantastic stay and a great home base for exploring Florence.
