Very friendly, accommodating staff. More than adequate parking. Room was clean. But generally the state of the decor, furniture and carpets was “tired”. Situated in an ideal spot to explore Ashdown Forest.

A lovely country pub hotel

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, I couldnt fault them. The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren to find the room but still full of charm. Will be back

The stay was fine. With good service, I found the room quite hot which meant I had to open the window which let in the traffic noise.

Good hotel at a good price 👌

Staff were excellent, welcoming and helpful. The hotel does need a little bit of updating however the bedroom was spotless and the bed was super comfortable. The food was good quality and tasty. Definitely recommend this as a quality hotel at a reasonable price!

Now becoming a regular venue for an overnight stay when visiting the area. Does everything I require. Good size bedrooms and generally attractive interior. Some smartening up needed for the bedroom corridors, but a minor 'negative'

A very pleasant stay prior to heading to Gatwick for my flight. The ambience of the hotel was great (English country inn). The room very confortable, though maybe time for an updating of the decor. The staff were excellent. Dinner and breakfast thoroughly enjoyed. I'd definitely stay there again.
