The Big Bend area, including Ft. Davis, Terlingua and Lajitas, is just beautiful! You will not be disappointed. You need several days to even just touch on all the beauty and new things to experience.

Hotel is historic (old) but nice and clean. Last people in the room left food in the refrigerator and the food was rotten. Once we reported it, it was thrown out and the refrigerator was cleaned. Maid should check to make sure the refrigerator is empty. Place had a really small tv which was hard ...

We were unable to check in because the owners did NOT send the access code to their property. I emailed in advance (3 days prior) to confirm and was told they would send the code the day of checkin at 8 AM. It did not arrive. I sent another email, still no response. It’s a nice little town, though a bit conservative for my taste.
The people are very welcoming and hospitable. Definitely will return later this year.
I loved the area. It's very beautiful. I like the remoteness of it. It's so quiet and it's great to really feel like I had "gotten away" for a while. I will love to go back.
No 24 hour services at all, except hotels.
