My husband and I needed some time away from life and all of its responsibilities. We found this quaint inn, which is directly on a waterway and less than 5 minute walk to the beach. Everything was spotless and still smelled new - which it was, due to having to rebuild after the devastating hurricanes. The owners are very kind and social, and they made sure we were comfortable.
There is a deck directly on the water, including lounge chairs, tiki-umbrellaed tables and chairs. Did I mention the wooden swing for two? The pool is beautifully lit up at night, and heated to a comfortable temperature. The bed was cozy, there was a lot of storage space to unpack and make yourself at home. There was a full kitchenette including fridge, microwave, stove. The shower features a rainfall shower head, or a hand-held wand if you prefer. There is a huge TV mounted on the wall, which we didn't even use because we preferred being outside to wind down for the night.
Also worth mentioning - and I don't know how they did this - there were virtually no mosquitos (it's now a sizzling June)! We live in FL, so we are not accustomed to being able to enjoy the outside without getting chewed up.
There are several restaurants, food trucks and bars within easy walk. And if you still need to buy beach gear and sand toys, there is a shop also within easy walking distance.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend this pretty little inn!
