โNice place with good people. The area is nice. Metro right around the corner. Not a far walk for the tram to get to Hagia Sophia or ferries to go to the Asian side. Coffee shop underneath where you can order breakfast. Really good location with shops, restaurants, and bars all around. Really good spot. Highly recommend if backpacking. โ
โExcellent stay in the Penthouse Apartment for 5 nights. Comfy beds, excellent showers/bathrooms and great air con. Very good location for getting around and near to some great bars and restaurants. 24 hour manned reception and they loaned us an Istanbulkart to load money onto for getting around on all transport.โ
โOverall we enjoyed our stay. We were welcomed warmly with a Turkish coffee and loved the historical property. This is my 3rd trip to Istanbul in the last couple of years and this is one of my favourite neighbourhoods. There are so many great cafes, restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. โThis was a very nice boutique hotel. The restaurant downstairs was upscale and the room was great. We stayed on the first floor and it was loud from the street noise at night. The location was great and near lots of bars!โ
โWe really enjoyed our four-night stay at this small, stylish hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome even before we arrived.
The rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location is excellent โ just steps from Istiklal Street and the metro, so it's very easy to get around the city.
A great bonus was the hotelโs wine cellar, offering a nice selection of Turkish wines to taste.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would happily return....
โWe were so pleased with our stay at The Wilson Galata Hotel in Istanbul. It is perfectly located at a minute walk from the famous Galata Tower and its lovely district, and still on such a calm and safe side street. The only thing the room didnโt have that we like in a room, is a safe.
Other than that it had tea and coffee making facilities, lift to the room, and in a great location. โ

May not be the fancy five star hotel in the west, but it has concierge, resturant, hamami, and cafes. No lounge for suite guests was a sad point, but overall an interesting hotel with a story. You can walk out and see so much things to do near taksim sq.โ
