"We stayed here for memorial day. Over all. It was great. The room was clean and easily accessible. The breakfast was pretty good. Needed bacon lol. Had a lot of options. Pool was nice. Our only few complaints were. One of the elevators was out of service so sometimes you were waiting 4-5 min for the elevator that was working. Also, the rooms have refillable toiletries and ours were definitely not checked before we checked in because the shampoo had a teensy bit in it but the conditioner and lotion were full. Our tub also was stuck in shower mode. No way to take a bath if we wanted to. Other than that we would definitely stay here again. Oh and keep in mind, the pictures they show of a bar area is NOT in the hotel, its at Doc Holidays next door."

"We reserved a corner suite . They put us on the one before the last room ( not a corner ) bathrooms in those suites are larger than the one we stayed at . Also the room is bigger with a lounge area . That is really my only concern . Everything else was great ."

"I'll start with pointing out the best part of staying in this hotel 1) the pool is big and amazing for adults and kids! Just got to be careful with the big cockroaches wandering around the pool. and 2) the beach view is right in front of the hotel, as soon as you cross the street, you don't have to take your vehicle to find a parking spot. The hotel has great customer service, everyone are so nice. The breakfast is ok, it got what you usually can eat for breakfast. The beds and pillows are comfy. The microwave and fridge are so cute and they were very cleaned and worked pretty well. The a/c, the shower and toilet worked great, we had no problems with that and also the TV and remote worked too. Now the only bad things I found was that the room was not cleaned, like the carpet cause I found a sock and an underwear of someone else. As soon as I opened the door I could smell the humidity, so it is a must to have some sort of ventilation because the smell was even inside the chest drawers every time I opened it, a humidity smell came out. The little bookshelf it was not cleaned, to much dust. I know because I wanted to read a book and they were all dirty and dusty. The bathtub is so slippery, got to be very careful or you'll fall inside. Shampoo containers are all so old and rusty, they don't look very nice. The sink and the toilet are old too, so they also must be replaced. And lastly, we asked for room service once and didn't receive it for a 4-night stayed."

"The rooms are clean and the staff is incredibly friendly, which is why my family has made staying here an annual Memorial Day tradition. Unfortunately, the building is visibly degrading and urgently needs a remodel. During our recent stay, the elevator failed twice—the doors closed, but it stalled completely for about four minutes before finally moving. Additionally, the pool area needs fresh paint and better screening to hide ongoing construction. The complimentary breakfast was also very disappointing this year; it used to include sausage links or patties, but has been reduced to just eggs, waffles, and cereal. We love the team here, but the property desperately needs maintenance to match their excellent service."

"Perfect location to stay overnight prior to our cruise. Room was spacious and clean overlooking the port. We could see our cruise ship docked in the morning and was short walk to terminal. Also close to Galveston Strand for shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again if we ever cruised out of Port of Galveston."
