"We booked this hotel back in December for a very special family vacation, which happened to fall on our daughter's birthday. We specifically chose the Sandman Signature because she loves this hotel brand and has celebrated birthdays at the Sandman Signature in our hometown before. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed to learn that the pool was closed during our stay. While we did receive updates, by that point it was too late to make alternative arrangements, as accommodations in St. John's were quite limited. The room itself was fine—clean and comfortable, but nothing particularly memorable or exceptional. On the positive side, the location was excellent and conveniently close to many of the attractions and activities we had planned. We also appreciated having two restaurant options right in the hotel and enjoyed meals at both during our stay. Overall, while the location and dining options were great, the pool closure significantly impacted our experience, especially given that we had specifically chosen this hotel as part of our daughter's birthday celebration."
