“The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!”

“Extremely secure and secluded. Villa to villa distance is quite far and we could not see or hear anyone else. Grounds are very large, beach is pretty much private but you should know it’s a bit of a walk from some of the villas around to the restaurant and beach. Private pool was very nice and overall good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and very easy to communicate with, 10/10 for the staff! ”

We had a small issue with our room (no fault of the hotel) and the manager quickly offered us an upgrade to a beautiful suite. There is access via a walking path to two separate beaches, and many dining options nearby (Guiones is a short 15 minute walk down the beach for more options). “Excellent location. Other reviews are accurate. However, There are two locations for this hotel. one is near the main road - that is where the pool is and it is a small pool so we didn't end up using it. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the beach area which was as advertised. Excellent breakfast included. Staff were great. It is a small town so easy access to everything.”
