This is a lovely old well maintained hotel at top of Gjirokaster with great views over valley and hills. Rooms were in excellent condition and breakfast was amazing - the best we had anywhere in Albania. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay

I had a great stay at Hotel Fantasy in Gjirokaster. The room was small but had everything I needed and even had a view of the Castle. The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a great location. If you are walking from the bus stop, it is a 25 minute walk uphill

Amazing gem of Gjirokaster

The hotel is amazng. The view from the rooms is incredible as the hotel is on a hill. There is no dedicated parking at the hotel but the team were so helpful in finding space for our car in the hotel next door. Great breakfast too

Excellent location, modern hotel, recommend!

Excellent location, only a few steps away from the heart of Girokaster but far enough not to hear all the noise/hustle and bustle. Room had an amazing view of the city. Breakfast was good, decent selection. Staff friendly and helpful, arranged taxi for us and driver picked us up from the hotel. Only place in all of our hotels in Albania that provided a kettle. Complementary water provided. Shower was good and toiletries provided. Lift in hotel too. AC wasn’t as cool as I would like, also had a weird setting where the lower you made the temperature go, the hotter the room would get. So you need to increase the number on the remote to cool the room (which seems very counterintuitive).

Great hotel in Gjirokastër.

Excellent hotel with one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had - enjoyed while looking out to the mountain and city. Service was faultless. They gave us an upgraded room for free and helped with printing documents. The room was clean, air conditioned, comfy, and provided great views over the city.

Amazing service, amazing stay!

We had trouble finding the hotel by car. (It was a bit difficult, so no wonder), but a lovely lovely receptionist came to the town square, where we had the car and got in the car to show us the way - which ended up being af nearly 10 minute driving going all the way down and up again - great service. The room was small, but very nice with a good size bathroom. Breakfast was amazing. Very close to a rooftop bar.

Magical

We were so lucky to come across this wonderful hotel. We arrived at our pre-booked accommodation to be told it wasn’t ready and found this hotel around the corner. It was the perfect solution, the receptionist was super helpful, the room was spacious and well appointed giving us a glorious view of the mountains, and although it is right in the heart of old town, its cliff face location made it feel like a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle just meters away. Oh, and the location for sundowners - one of the best I’ve ever been to. sitting in the warm breeze with a cocktail at the end of the day watching the sun set while the eagles soar was truly special.

This is a large and unmissable hotel in the old town part of the city (as you can probably tell from the photos). I had a triple room and it was massive. Breakfast was great, front desk staff was really helpful in helping me find some services for my phone and gave me great tips and tricks for navigating the city. Note that there isnt any soundproofing - this would generally be fine for me but I had the bad luck of sharing my floor with a large group of people who were partying and running around the floor and slamming doors until the wee hours. Despite that I still had a great short stay at the hotel.

Excellent location and amazing staff

Excellent location and very friendly and helpful staff. All tourist spots within walking distance. Famous bazaar is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Airvon in room was fantastic especially during the very hot weather. I strongly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.
